Project Scheduler
The Automation division of this major engineering company is currently seeking a suitably qualified & experienced Project Scheduler to join their Sydney Project Team. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating all required resources for the design and build activities of the project and will be a key staff member in meeting the objectives of the project.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the key responsibilities for the role will include:
- Developing timelines & schedules to ensure all targets are met
- Ensuring resources are utilised to maximum potential
- Identifying and communicating to managers the need for additional resources on relevant jobs
- Meeting deadlines by ensuring scheduling is prioritised
- Modifying schedules at the clients request in a timely and professional manner
- Reporting the progress of scheduling activities to the Project Manager
We are seeking an individual with approximately 3-5 years experience within an electronic ticketing project, or a similar project based environment. The successful applicant will be competent in the use of Prima Vera (P6) software, able to provide leadership in a team environment, have sound planning abilities, effective time management, able to prioritise and excellent communication skills. Junior Estimators
These roles are full time permanent roles out of our clients Sydney office based north of the City. Recent tertiary qualified graduates in Mechanical Engineering (degree or diploma) or qualified mechanical trades personnel with a desire to move into a project office environment would be well suited to these positions.
Training in the following areas will be given to selected candidates:
- Preparation of estimates and tenders associated with project opportunities.
- Work procedures, preparation of estimates and data for defined project areas.
- Developing spreadsheets for costing labour and materials in meeting tender requirements.
- Preparing tenders and proposals.
- Indentifying contract / cost options for profitable and sustainable tenders.
To be successful applicants should possess:
- Good all round knowledge in mechanical engineering.
- Basic computer skills in MS Office & spreadsheets.
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise.
- Ability to work within clearly defined procedures to prepare accurate and timely deliverables.
